These years saw further expansion at Jolly Harbour with the new Reeds Point development. New residential concepts were also launched in Vietnam (Bai Tram) and Panama (Kingfishers Bay). There was also a realignment of the French rental property portfolio into a dual sales proposition for Rural Properties and Chateau Retreats, including the necessary communication and promotion materials.

Organizationally, the rapidly growing company was looking into re-financing structures and merger possibilities. A serious acquisition partner entered the picture, which would give LPIL’s next corporate evolution the opportunity for Euronext listing under the name La Perla World.

In preparation for this, it was decided to adapt the brand’s look and feel to one that was lighter and fresher. Communications were adapted to reflect the new La Perla World logo and strategy. A new La Perla World coffee table book was also developed and produced.

Unfortunately, the worldwide economic crisis dealt a serious blow to La Perla and its commercial trajectory. Business came to a standstill in 2009 and in 2010, the company went into receivership. Bankruptcy was declared in November 2012.
